The "poke" layout is really nice! The photograph is really effective with that size of type.
The photographs are looking good, in general I think you could be more daring regarding scale of type and placement with the images.
Think about your words and possible alternatives as well, deeper meaning could be found in there and will help when you work in the group creating the narrative of compositions. Fork implies eating, sharing, etiquette, manners, family, etc. It's aggressive (spear, for example) and a beautiful object.
